Description
Take Up Springs
Landrum Take Up Springs are used with coil over spring set ups to maintain tension in the suspension system, thereby keeping the main springs from becoming slack when the suspension has a light load or is at full extension. This maintains main spring contact with the spring seat and prevents it from moving out of place. Take Up Springs are positioned in series with the main springs, typically between the main spring and the spring perch.
Take Up Springs, also known as Tender Springs, have very low spring rates and are engineered to compress to solid quickly as the suspension compresses under normal or heavy load, allowing the main springs to take over and handle the load.
Landrum Take Up Springs are made at our Indiana, USA facility and use the same excellent Landrum engineering, materials and manufacturing techniques as our larger coil springs and coil over springs.
With a range of bump spring lengths and rates available, race teams can find just the right springs to fine-tune their car’s handling.
